Department of Pain and Palliative Medicine

Palliative care is an important aspect of cancer treatment.  A Specialist qualified in Palliative Medicine is the Head of this Unit, which offers ‘Total Care’ for incurable cancer patients and other non-cancer ailments.

Neurolytic procedures like coeliac plexus, lumbar sympathetic and posterior stellate ganglion blocks are done under C – Arm guidance. Palliative care also include management of malignant effusions, interventional pain management procedures as well as terminal care.
