It is an Outpatient procedure, wherein the lady is stimulated with hormonal Injections. Multiple follicles are aspirated with the help of ultra sound scan. Husband’s semen is collected on same day and into each egg one morphologically potent healthy sperm is injected under special microscope. The embryo is then incubated in lab for 2-3 days.The healthiest of embryo is transferred under scan guidance without any Anaesthesia. None of these steps need hospital admission. Blood is checked for serum β-hcg hormone after 14 days. Positive level indicates pregnancy.
After achieving pregnancy follow-ups are similar as like normal pregnancy .Babies born through IVF are no different from babies of normal conception
